About the webmaster

The webmaster The webmasters name is Peter Langbroek (pronounce Langbrooke). He is born in IJmuiden in the Netherlands on 1 September 1965. He only spend his first 2 baby years under the gray smoke of a steel company named Hoogovens. In 1975 he moved with his parents to Andijk. His last 26 years he is living in a small village in the North West of Holland. A village named Andijk. In 1985 he met his girlfriend, which he married in 1998. South East Asia But before that, they saved some money and went in 1991 for a journey to South East Asia for about 15 months with only a small backpack on there back. They started in India (6 months) en went by train and bus all the way to To the Baliem valley in New Guinea Indonesia. The countries between India and Indonesia they have seen are Nepal, Thailand, malaysia and Singapore. They have met many peoples in this journey, sikhs, locals, backpackers, businnes man and etcetera etcetra. But it was sometimes frustrating how so many people know so little about The Netherlands. Rich history The Dutch have such a rich history. Most people don't know that New York USA was original a Dutch place called Nieuw Amsterdam. Or one guy even thought holland was the capital of the Netherlands. Or all the Dutch walking on wooden shoes and living in a windmill with tullips behind the window, eating there Dutch made cheese. From that thoughts the idea was born to make a website were every body can find usefull information about the Netherlands. Ofcourse also about the windmills and woodenshoes. But also information for tourist, emigrants, businnesman, backpackers or the youth who needs the information for there school works. Please enjoy Uhhh.. To end this story. The webmaster and his wife have two lovely boys from 3.5 and 1.5 years old. His job beside his web production company is an electrician (maintenance) in a medicall supply plant in Enkhuizen.
